Dr. Mickey B. Smith
Mickey B. Smith, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management. Dr. Smith has taught at the ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÍø since 2016. Dr. Smith’s expertise is in strategically leading and developing the people-side of organizations.
Dr. Smith is an award-winning researcher whose work has appeared in various top-tier
management and applied psychology journals, such as the Journal of Applied Psychology,
the Journal of Management, and the Journal of Organizational Behavior. Additionally,
Dr. Smith has presented his research at various conferences including those for the
Academy of Management, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, the
European Association for Work and Organizational Psychology, and the ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÍøern Management
Association. Dr. Smith’s research has predominantly centered on three areas – the
full-range study of personality at work, the interplay of personal variables and motivational
organizational climates, and involvement-based leadership. A representative sample
