Why Join the Jaguar Marching Band?

Building on a tradition of excellence since its inception in 2009, the Jaguar Marching Band is one of the largest and most visible organizations representing the University of ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÍø Alabama.  As a member of the JMB, you will be part of one of the youngest and most respected marching bands in the nation, develop life-long friendships, represent the the ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÍø locally, regionally, and nationally, and receive a generous scholarship for your participation!  

Color Guard member cheeringThe Jaguar Marching Band has performed in front of thousands for events such as the Reese's Senior Bowl, the New Orleans Saints,  the inaugural Raycom Camellia Bowl, the Nova Home Loans Bowl, the Bands of America Super Regional (Atlanta), two Alabama Inaugural Parades and the 2022 R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl. In addition, the JMB has performed in front of crowds of over 100,000 during Mobile's Mardi Gras festivities. During the fall, the JMB supports ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÍø Alabama Jaguar Football at all home games and select away games.  During the winter and spring, the Jag Band, a select, auditioned group of members from the JMB, perform men's and women's basketball.  In addition, the Jaguar Marching Band competes with their competitive winterguard in the Gulf Coast Color Guard and Percussion Circuit during the spring semester.

The Jaguar Marching Band meets from 4-6PM in the fall semester and performs three distinct halftimes shows each season, along with a traditional pregame performance before all Jaguar home football games in Hancock Whitney Stadium.  The JMB also is a frequent exhibition band for marching band competitions across Alabama and the Gulf Coast region.

Today, alumni of the Jaguar Marching Band can be found across the country pursuing their career dreams in nearly every discipline imaginable.  Each year, our JMB alumni return to campus for JMB Alumni Band and join with the current JMB at a select home game, reliving old memories and forging connections with our current members.  We believe that joining the JMB helps to forge a life-long connection with USA and an incredible organization of made of up talented student-musicians from across the country.
